Diet should be balanced , eat alot of fruits and vegetables, drink plenty of water & low fat.
Eat alot of whole grains, breads and cereals. For fats avoid the saturated fats,
olive oil is an excellent polyunsaturated fat. Sardines are also an excellent source and high in Omega 3's.
I am not an advocate of diets as I believe in a healthy well balanced diet and if necessary a multi-vitamin/mineral supplement. Fish oil is excellent to reduce inflammatory conditions and also beneficial for your heart. 
Every where you go we see buffets and fast food restaurants. 2 out of 3 adults are obese in the United States and the statistics are alarming. I achieve this to sedentary lifestyle and overeating. Eating is a choice. Portion control is the key. Fast food is ok in moderation however not every day do I suggest to eat a big mac or a whopper. Nutrion plays an integral part in any wellness program.
